Before you start: Requirements in Sirvoy Requirements in Google Connect your Sirvoy account to Google Before you go

Google Hotel Ads and Free Booking Links help travelers find your property directly from Google Search or Google Maps—and sends them straight to your website to book.

  • Free Booking Links are unpaid placements based on relevance.
  • Hotel Ads are paid placements based on ad bidding.

Both options show the same content to travelers.


Before you start:

You’ll need a Google Business Profile. If you don’t have one yet, visit Google for Hotels 101 to learn how to set it up.

Make sure you meet all of Google’s requirements before you activate the connection in Sirvoy.

Requirements in Sirvoy

  • Your contact details at Settings > Sirvoy account > Contact details must match your Google Business Profile.
  • In the booking engine's general options, set Requests or confirmations to Automatically confirm new bookings.
  • Set the booking engine's Booking window to Minimum days in advance: 0 and Before: 00:00.

To set booking windows:

  1. Go to Web Tools > Booking engines
  2. Click the three dots in the same row as the booking engine
  3. Click Edit

Requirements in Google

  • Your Google Business Profile must have up-to-date room photos and descriptions.
  • The property must be listed as either a Hotel or Resort. Categories like Vacation Rental are not supported.
  • Your property must meet Google’s requirements for a lodging business, and your website must clearly demonstrate that you meet the requirements.

Connect your Sirvoy account to Google

  1. Go to Settings > Channels and click Connect next to Google Hotel Ads
  2. Under Choose bid strategy, select your preferred option:
    1. For paid ads, choose a CPC strategy, enter your maximum bid (Google will auto-optimize your ad up to that amount)
    2. For free placement only, select Only Free Booking Links (FBL)
  3. Under Booking engine ID, select a booking engine
  4. Under Your booking engine website, enter the URL where your booking engine is embedded. (If left blank, the ad will link to a basic site that only contains your booking engine)
  5. Click Save

Before you go

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Ad costs (if using Hotel Ads) are deducted monthly from your Sirvoy account balance. Currency conversion may apply.
  • A reserve of $60/€50 (or equivalent) is held in your Sirvoy balance to ensure ad delivery. If you disable ads, that amount is released.
  • If your Sirvoy balance drops below zero, Google Ads will pause until the account is topped up.
  • Google Hotel Ads defaults to searches for 2 guests.
  • Ad performance improves over time, so avoid making frequent changes in the beginning.
