Handle multiple channel rates for a single room type
How to set up room types in Sirvoy to match rate variations from channels like Booking.com or Expedia.
Table of Contents
Many booking channels, such as Booking.com and Expedia, let you offer multiple rates for the same room type—for example:
- Last minute
- Minimum 7 nights
- Breakfast included
- Non-refundable
These rates all share the same availability, because they’re all connected to the same room type.
Sirvoy doesn’t use a rates concept. Instead, each rate on booking channels must be mapped to a separate room type in Sirvoy.
Set up multiple “Rates” in Sirvoy
To reflect different rate options, create duplicate room types in Sirvoy. These duplicates share the same pool of rooms, so availability stays in sync, and there’s no risk of overbooking.
Tip: Offer at least two rates in your channel account, like a standard and a non-refundable rate. This gives you the flexibility to close or adjust one rate without affecting the others.
Example: Let’s say you have a “Double room” room type in Sirvoy that you want to offer on Booking.com with three rate options:
- Standard
- Non-refundable
- Breakfast included
In this case, you would:
- Keep your original “Double room” as the standard rate.
-
Create two duplicates:
- “Double Room – Non-refundable”
- “Double Room – Breakfast Included”
- Map each of those room types to the matching rates in Booking.com.
