Request payment through the guest portal
How to let guests pay their remaining balance or add a credit card using the guest portal.

The guest portal lets guests manage their booking after it's been made, including adding payments or credit card details. It's helpful if you want to request this information before check-in without requiring it during the booking, or simply give guests the option to pay early to speed up check-in.
Guests can be allowed to:
- Pay the full or remaining balance.
- Add a credit card to their booking.
- Cancel their booking (if it was made through the booking engine).
Payment rules and guest options
The options your guests see in the portal depend on your payment settings.
If you’ve enabled partial prepayment and set full prepayment as voluntary, the option to pay the full remaining balance will only appear after the partial prepayment has been completed.
All online payment methods you’ve enabled, like Stripe or PayPal, are supported in the guest portal.
Access to the guest portal
A good way to share access to the guest portal is to include the %review-url% placeholder in an email template.
You can also use:
- %paidamount% to show what’s already been paid.
- %balancedue% to show what’s still outstanding.
