In Sirvoy, a room type groups similar accommodations together, while a room refers to an individual unit available for booking. These don’t have to be literal rooms—they could represent beds, campsites, caravans, or any other type of accommodation your business offers.

You can create and edit room types and rooms in Settings > Accommodations.

What is a Room Type in Sirvoy?

A e includes key details such as:

  • Name ("Single Room", "Double Room", etc)
  • Description
  • Maximum number of guests
  • Pricing

Room types act as templates, holding shared information that applies to multiple rooms. For example, your property might have several rooms that all belong to the same room type, like multiple "Double Rooms”.

What Is a Room in Sirvoy?

A m is an individual unit that is assigned to a room type. Each room has its own:

  • Room ID ("Room 101", “The Canopy Room”, etc)

Rooms inherit the description, pricing, and other settings from their room type but are managed individually for availability and bookings.

Example of Room Types and Rooms in Sirvoy:
Let’s say you have a room type called "Double Room". Under this room type, you add two rooms: "Room 101" and "Room 102." Both rooms share the same description and pricing from the room type but are treated as separate units for bookings.
