Limiting How Close to Check-in and How Far Ahead Guests Can Book

To adjust how close to check-in or how far ahead guests can book:

  1. Go to Settings -> Booking engines.
  2. Click the three dots adjacent to the booking engine you want.
    • These settings are set for each individual booking engine.
  1. In the drop-down list, click “Edit.”

Under “How close to check-in guest can book”, both days and the time of day can be adjusted according to your preferences. (The default setting is 0 days + 00:00 time. This means that your guest can book with check-in until midnight of the current day in your timezone.)

Example: You can set the latest time to book for check-in on the same day. In “How close to check-in a guest can book”, if you set “Days” to “0” and “Before” to “10:00”, the guest can check in on the same day if the booking is made before 10:00 local time. For any booking made after this time, the earliest possible check-in is on the next day.

 

Under “How far ahead guest can book (latest check-out date)” you can choose a number of days.

Example: If you set “How far ahead guest can book (latest check-out date)” to “365 days”, a guest can book a stay with the latest check-out date at 365 days from the time of booking.

 

Note: These settings are not compatible with any sales channel you might connect to, but will have an effect only on the Sirvoy booking engine for which you have adjusted them. In order to have the same settings on the channel(s), these have to be adjusted there. Please read more about Sirvoy restrictions and channels in this article.
