Sometimes a booking shows as cancelled in your Expedia account, but not in Sirvoy. It might look like a connection issue, but don’t worry, it usually isn’t.
Why it happens
When a guest requests a change to their booking, Expedia may cancel the original and create a new one. The new booking will have a different reservation ID, but the Expedia confirmation number stays the same and matches the Sirvoy Booking ID.
So even though the original looks cancelled, it’s just been updated.
How to check if the booking was modified
- Log in to your Expedia account
- Search using the guest’s last name or the confirmation number (the Sirvoy Booking ID)
- If you see two bookings with the same confirmation number, it means the booking was only modified, not cancelled
