When working with percentage-based surcharges or taxes in Sirvoy, it's important to configure the correct settings for each channel connection. These settings control how prices are sent to the channel and how surcharges are applied to bookings imported into Sirvoy.

To find these settings:

1. Go to Settings > Channels
2. Click Edit in the same row as the channel you want to adjust

Then, adjust the following options as needed:

Include surcharges in price

Turn ON Include surcharges in price if:

• The channel expects total prices that already include surcharges.

Sirvoy will apply the percentage surcharge on top of the base rate before sending the price to the channel.

Turn OFF Include surcharges in price if:

• The channel adds its own surcharges to the price sent by Sirvoy.

In this case, Sirvoy sends just the base rate, and the channel calculates and adds any taxes or fees on its end.

Add surcharges when receiving bookings

Turn ON Add surcharges when receiving bookings if:

• You want percentage-based surcharges to be itemized and included in the booking total in Sirvoy.

This ensures that Sirvoy reflects the full amount the guest paid, including taxes.

Turn OFF Add surcharges when receiving bookings if:

• You don’t want surcharges shown or calculated in Sirvoy.

The booking total in Sirvoy will likely differ from the total shown on the channel.

About fixed-price surcharges

• Sirvoy supports percentage-based surcharges or taxes on all channels.
• Fixed-amount surcharges or fees (like cleaning charges) are automatically imported from Booking.com, but not from other channels. To include fixed-amount fees in Sirvoy for other channels, create them as Extras.
